Opticology Team Members

Hope Ahrendt, Patient Coordinator/Administrative Office Assistant/Insurance Assistant

Hope started her career at Opticology Eyecare in April 2015. She is certified in Medical Coding through Butler Community College. In her free time, she loves reading, working out, and spending time outside with her daughter Luna.

Morgan Herder, Community Outreach/Optometric Technician/Contact Lens Specialist

Morgan started her career at Opticology Eyecare in July, 2012. She currently is one of optometric technicians and contact lens specialists.  Morgan also has been involved with community outreach and finding ways to better serve our community through volunteering. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Keatin, and daughters, Mia and Brynlee, as well as crafting, spending time outdoors, cooking, and hosting.

Laura Doggett, Optical Lead/Optometric Technician/Glasses Lab Fabricator

Laura started her career at Opticology Eyecare in June, 2018. She is currently one of the opticians and is cross trained in other departments. She has 5 years of experience in this field and loves to learn more about eyecare. Laura grew up in Wichita, KS and went to WSU Tech where she received her CNA license and studied pre-nursing. Laura is newly married to her husband Rhys and recently adopted a puppy, Yondu. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Lindsey Hoveskeland, Administrative Office Assistant/Insurance Assistant

Lindsay started her career at Opticology Eyecare in May 2020. She is currently serves as an administrative office assistant and helps with collecting insurance information. Lindsay was born and raised in Goddard, KS. She graduated from Friends University with Bachelors of Arts Degree where she also was a member of the cheerleading squad. After college, she began her family with husband, Landon, and 3 beautiful girls, Addison, Laykin & Emberlyn. In her free time, she loves traveling, boating, gardening plus cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Pamela Helgason, Administrative Office Assistant/Doctor assistant

Pam started her career at Opticology Eyecare in June, 2020. She currently is our director of first impressions, helping our patients feel welcomed when scheduling their appointments and checking in.  In her free time, she is an avid volunteer, especially for her favorite animal rescue, Beauties & Beasts. Pam enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and is an HUGE animal lover. Pam is married to Jon and they have two children, Rian and Jon Phillip.

Lynde Corr, Patient Intake/Call Coordinator

Lynde started her career at Opticology Eyecare in April, 2021. She currently assists patients that need to schedule exams. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her children and grandchildren, growing/canning vegetables, and spending time lakeside.

Anthony Nola, Optometric Technician/Contact Lens Specialist/Optometric Scribe

Anthony started his Opticology Eyecare experience in July, 2021. He currently helps our doctors perform preliminary testing and is heavily involved with contact lenses. He is a WSU proud graduate and aspires to serve his community by going to optometry school some day. He enjoys staying active by playing pickleball and training at the YMCA. He also enjoys hanging out and grilling with his family.

Robyn Garrison, Optometric Technician/Contact Lens Specialist/Optometric Scribe

Robyn started her Opticology adventure in 2021. She is married to Jim and has one daughter, Rebekah. She loves jogging and 5k fun runs, coaching Special Olympics for a local Wichita team, visiting vintage markets and repurposing rusty old stuff. Robyn also enjoys making abstract art in the medium of pen and ink.

Nicole White ABO, Optician/Glasses Lab Fabricator

Nicole started her career at Opticology Eyecare in December 2021. She passed the American Board of Opticianry Certification Exam in September of 2022, and has over 5 years of experience in the field of opticianry. Nicole grew up in Holyrood, KS and studied at Barton Community College in Great Bend, KS as well as Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. Nicole is currently engaged and planning her wedding to her fiance Richard, and she has an emotional support dog named Stuart. In her free time she enjoys crafting, cooking, reading, and she loves being nerdy about glasses!

Angela Kelly, CPC – Billing and Coding Specialist

Angela joined the team in March of 2022. She has 20+ years experience in the field of billing and coding, and in 2020 passed the AAPC certification on her first attempt. Her goal is to gain maximum reimbursement for our patients by accurately reporting services to insurance vendors. In her personal time, she enjoys photography, painting, various church activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Lakyn Herbst, CPOT – Optometric Technician/Contact Lens Specialist/Optometric Scribe

Lakyn started at Opticology Eyecare in September 2022. She is a Certified Paraoptometric and has 6 years of experience in the field. She is married to Koby and has 3 dogs. In her free time she likes to build big lego sets and hang out with her family and dogs. She has an increasing passion for scleral lens technology as well as vision therapy.
